Qualifications
1. At least two previous Willamette Medical Teams trips
2. Committed Christian
3. Leadership and shepherding ability
4. Ability to make joint decisions with others in leadership
5. Ability to submit to Team Missionary and Team Leader
Responsibilities
1. Be a good example to those under his/her authority.
2. Meet with HMTI Board weekly beginning three weeks before the seminar and continuing weekly until departure and one week after return.
3. Co-lead team seminars with Team Leader.
4. Help the Team Leader supervise transit of the team and supplies to and from host country.
5. Conduct team meetings and make work assignments along with the Team Leader.
6. Help supervise the clinic set-up and operation. Carry out the Nursing Supervisor role in this area if there is none designated as such.
7. Together with the Team Leader and Team Missionary make necessary decisions regarding team's location, movement, transportation, emergency contingencies, and scope of medical clinics.
8. Oversee the keeping and use of team money.
9. On an on-going basis, help Medical Director/Team Leader assess the inventory of medications and supplies.
10. In conjunction with Team Missionary and team leader determine clinic hours of operation.
11. Complete the Daily Summary Sheet with the team leader.
12. Oversee with the team leader the organization, inventory of and packing of all supplies upon completion of the medical team.
13. Along with team leader supervise the team during recreational and free times.
14. At end of team, report team's experience to the Board � to include presentation of inventory and financial accounts.
